Work(s) in Progress: Lace Crochet Update

Posted on March 4, 2026April 15, 2026 by Melissa

Alright, it’s not complete yet, but my lace crochet project is coming along…

Slowly.

I’ve missed stitches and frogged.

I’ve added too many stitches and frogged again.

And I’m sure there are mistakes in there I haven’t caught yet but will notice later.

But it sure is pretty, isn’t it?

The pattern I’m following called for 200 yards of yarn to create a shawlette, and I’m close to it being “complete”. However, because the hank I purchased was 400 yards, I think I’m going to just keep going until I feel done and it feels good on my body.

Maybe, just maybe, I’ll have it done in time to wear for St. Paddy’s Day!

What’s been happening in your creative world lately?

Onward,

Melissa

It is pretty! A nice lesson in how persistence can lead to beauty.
