Blues, Greens, & Beautiful Things

Posted on May 29, 2026May 29, 2026 by Melissa

Of all the liminal spaces between seasons, I think the most confusing is the Spring-into-Summer slide. Full of mood swings and bursting at the seams with so.much.potential, the last little bit of Spring seems never quite sure if she wants to stick around or hand it all over Summer.

Regardless, as the sun nears it’s peak, the ever-changing colors of the land go into hyper-drive and really start to show off.

From the glistening wings of a resting bee, to the bright blue skies of the high desert…

From the morning sun dancing on the sage blossoms to the glowing greens of the budding blackberries…

It’s all a perfect reminder to literally stop and smell the flowers while allowing for a bit of awe at all the beauty around us.

Plus, the peepers are appearing and the sunsets have been nothing if not divine!

Yes, there are plenty of tasks to cross off the never ending To-Do lists, but why have we even chosen this not-so-simple lifestyle if not to slow down and enjoy the beautiful things?

Wishing you a lovely slide through the weekend, filled with beautiful moments of your own to fill your heart and answer your own why 🙂

Onward,

Melissa
