Between my daughter’s attendance at Spring Break Camp, caring for a sick dog, Spring Cleaning/rearranging, my sister’s visit, my wife’s work travel (x2), hatching and caring for a couple of batches of chicks, my daughter and I both catching some nasty virus, and doing my darnedest to keep up with the A to Z Challenge on my family history blog, the last three weeks have been… a lot.
And so today, exhausted from a weekend of spreading compost and chipping fallen and pruned branches on our property and our neighbor’s while still recovering from that stinkin’ virus, I’m going to do my best to reset the house to a relative sense of calm and organization so that the day-to-day this week might feel a bit more calm and organized.
Additionally, I am very hopeful I can clean up my desk so I feel like I can work at it again and maybe… just maybe find my blogging groove here in this space again 🙂
And if I can clean up my desk, maybe I’ll get back in the groove of using my weekly planner and actually remember to use my little desk calendar (the date locked in time there is the last time I properly sat at my desk…eek!).
OK okay OK…
Maybe that’s all a little too manic for a Monday and I won’t get all that done today, but hopefully by Wednesday 😉
I’m really just trying to find my way back to center, I’ll do well to remember that life is a marathon, not a sprint.
How’s your week starting off? Any big plans or lofty goals? Simple plans or realistic goals?
Onward,
Melissa

Hey, sounds like you’ve had a tough couple of weeks especially as you have had chicks to atend to. Hopefully you can get back in your groove and you will feel better.
Bit by bit, I’m breaking through my list! Thank you for the kind words of encouragement <3
Love that song. Life is indeed a marathon. That’s a great analogy. Wishing you luck getting everything done.
Thank you so much, Susanne. One step at a time, Monday has morphed in Wednesday and I’m feeling good about my accomplishments so far 🙂 Hope your week has been a smooth one so far!
I’m getting there, too.
